Working aircraft components play a very important role in keeping an aircraft airworthy. The failure of components in aircraft can make the aircraft inoperable (AOG – Aircraft on Ground). It is therefore crucial for airlines and operators to have spare components available to replace the failed ones in order to maintain continuity in aircraft operations.
However, there are many limitations that prevent airlines from being able to do this effectively. Issues such as limited storage space and the need for constant monitoring and maintenance of spares in storage are among the major challenges.
With the growing number of aircraft in operation, this will become a highly significant business in the coming years.
The Company plans to invest in the business of aircraft spares and components supply and trading to meet the demands of the increasing number of aircraft operating in India.
The plan is to set up an aircraft parts and components supply chain across India, with hubs located where the Company builds its MRO facilities. This business will serve the dual purpose of providing aviation spare parts and components to airlines and operators, as well as to the MROs.
