The buying and selling of aircraft can be a very lucrative business. This industry requires individuals who are well-connected, knowledgeable, and experienced in the aviation market.

Aircraft purchased directly from owners and airlines—typically through bulk bidding—are often acquired well below market value. These aircraft may require maintenance and servicing, which is carried out by MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facilities). Once the necessary maintenance is completed, the aircraft are sold at a profit.

Alternatively, the aircraft can be parted out, and the individual components sold separately, often yielding even greater returns.
